Classed are only available in the United States and Canada.

1. 1a) What is the cost?
2. We charge $12 per hour for both Private and Online English Lessons. (That's minimum wage in the US) A full English course is 30 hours. Prime Horizons School does not accept students for less than 10 hours, prepaid in advance.
   
   
3. 1b) Alternative cost per month
4. In some cases we may accept a prepaid amount for a specific course such as $300 for one month of classes, $500 for two months, etc. It also depends on the teacher and the defined course. IELTS courses cost $700 for 2 months.
   
   
5. 1c) IELTS COURSE
Both IELTS (International English Language Testing System) courses include comprehensive testing and preparation from IELTS certified teaches. We offer both Academic IELTS courses that costs $400 and ELTS General Training that costs $300. Both courses are in-depth testing and requires serious students.


6. 2) How can you charge so little?
Many other English businesses charge $20 to $30 per hour or more. Poor people can't afford much. Plus our overhead is low now that we closed the on-site school and we do not advertise. And most of our teachers have other jobs and simply enjoy the art of teaching English and believe in Prime Horizons. That sounds a lot like hype and I guess it is, but those are the best reasons, at least the top reasons we charge so little.


7. 3)How much does the teacher get?
The teacher gets 75%. After taxes, overhead, and other expenses, Prime Horizons receives less than $2 for each hour.


8. 4) How many classes per week?
The default is 2 classes each week but we can adapt to your schedule.

9. 5) Can I chose a teacher of my choice from your list of available teachers?
Yes, if that teacher's schedule fits your schedule and the teacher is available.


10. 6) How many hours per class?
1.5 to 2 hours for each class, your choice.


11. 7) Can I pay for just 1 or 2 hours?
No. The minimum is 20 hours and the payment needs to be paid before the first class or if a private class, payment is due before the class or at the beginning of the first class. We suggest paying for a full course of 40 hours. It takes time to set up and organize a class for a student. Our individual classes are carefully scheduled and teachers need to rely on a steady student for at least 20 hours.



12. 8) Does Pime Horizons offer student evaluations?
Yes, with a prepayment of $50 for a 2 hour evaluation. The extra amount is for the evaluation teacher to write and organize an professional evaluation report for the potential student. Note that the evaluation is not designed to teach but simply evaluate.

 

• 9) How can I pay?
• a) Credit or debit card on PayPal. You don't need to be a PayPal customer so you have nothing to log into.
• b) Gcash or Google Pay.
• c) For Private, in person lessons, you can prepay or pay at the beginning of the first class.

• 10) What happens if I get sick and cannot attend a scheduled class or if the teacher is not available for any reason?
• If the teacher is not available for some reason, of course you are not charged for the missed class. However, if you miss a class, you will still be charged for the class you missed. You can't just make up the class you missed because the teacher may have another student ready to start their English course when you course is scheduled to end.

1. 11) Does Pime Horizons accept children?

Yes. We love children and it's a big part of our school. Generally the minimum age is 3 years. But it depends on the student. You may wish to pay for an evaluation first.



2. 12) Does Pime Horizons have certified IELTS teachers?

Yes. We have two teachers certified for IELTS. Contact us by email or on Zalo for more information about IELTS (International English Language Testing System).

3. 13) Can teacher come to my residence to teach me?
No. That becomes a nightmare and far too expensive for the teacher. For private lessons, the student always need to have the class at the teacher's designated classroom.
