Private classes are available in major cities around the world. All Vietnam teachers work strictly through Prime Horizons. Your private teacher is authorized to receive and process cash payments to Prime Horizons and setting up your class. You should be near the teachers location so that transportation is not a problem for you. The teacher does not travel to your home.

PRIVATE ENGLISH COURSE OUTLINE:
- Prime Horizons teaches American English, not UK English. American English is by far the most used and accepted English dialect in the world. However, learning American English will also make you knowledgeable in UK English as well. They are nearly identical.
- Your teacher will discover your English level and if necessary, for the first two classes or as needed, concentrate on the following:
- The English Alphabet. It may seem far too basic and that would be your first mistake. The alphabet is the key to all words in the English language. If you can't speak and understand the English alphabet correctly, you'll never come close to being English fluent.
- BASIC ENGLISH MISTAKES
- So, in the beginning you'll be tested on your ability to correctly pronounce the following English sounds:
- TH sound such as They, Them, Those, The, That, etc.
- L sound at the begriming or inside a word such as , Little, Love, Let, Sleep, Pool, Fool, etc.
- R sound such a Ready, Vibrate, Store, Fork, Bird, Cart, Where, etc.
- Pronunciation of the last letter of most English words such as About. Mistakes on this word in massive and makes it difficult to understand the speaker.
Your teacher will happily work with you until your troubled letters and words have been corrected. Teachers love to correct so please feel free to make lots of mistakes as that is the main way you learn.
Each slight mistake ads to the total or difficult understanding of the speaker. That's why it's critically important for your teacher to test your ability to for each letter of the alphabet and the more difficult letter sounds before you move forward.
Granted, some students may have mastered these beginner issues but over 90% of people needing English lessons, even advanced English students, suffer from this problem, even Americans. Many believe the alphabet is for children and they skip mastering the alphabet. If you begin your lessons with errors, mistakes will only multiply as your English class attempts to progress. It's crucial that your teacher correct any pronunciation mistakes or they could be with you forever.
As you become more relaxed, your teacher will engage you in the following exercises:

- Describing how you are feeling
- Asking simple questions
- Talk about your friends and family, and describe their personalities

Private classes generally include just one person. It's much more difficult to teach two students. Acceptance of more than one student for each class is at the teacher's discretion and may include an additional tuition fee.

PRIVATE COURSE TUITION FEES:
Tuition must be paid in full before or at the beginning of the first class of your English course. Payment can be made in advance using our PayPal form, Visa or Mastercard, or. We also accept Apple Cards and Google Pay.
There is no refund for any class course tuition fee. The exception is if the teacher is responsible. Only in that case would a refund equal to the remainder of the course be refunded. English courses are plotted and arranged by careful schedule and cannot be changed.
STUDENT ACCEPTABILITY
It's important to understand that Prime Horizons accepts English students who are serious about learning English.
We will accept any student capable of showing up for class and will dedicate their time To learn.
Our teachers will teach and improve your English in person, together, side by side on a schedule you both approve. We accept the following students who have ...
- Zero English (No English ability or experience).
- Beginner with a little English.
- Moderate English.
- Intermediate students.
- Advanced students wishing to become English fluent or take the IELTS course.
- It's very important to realize that all students need to not just listen but even more important speak as much as possible. For those who have no English or very little English ability, it takes time The only way to learn is to make mistakes. Your teacher will love to correct you.
Students wishing to learn much better English should be:
- Serious about learning English
- Able to be on time for each private class
- Pay the tuition fee before the beginning of the first class
- Speak and ask questions
- Listen to your friendly teacher carefully
- Complete assignments and tests
- Seriously consider teacher advise to better learn English when not attending your private one on one class.
AGE LIMIT
Unless authorized by the school administrator, all private class students need to be at least three years of age, or understand basic English and be able to pay attention and follow directions with the teacher. There is no upper age limit.
Parents are welcome to attend private classes with their child but please stay in the background and when necessary, assist your young student. Our teachers are friendly but firm about teaching. It takes concentration and lots of experience and especially knowledge of English and teaching techniques on a one on one basis. Teachers not only teach English but do their best to make the students of all ages comfortable so that the learning process can be enjoyable as well as beneficial and productive.
In other words, students should be serious about learning English.
The teacher needs to get you to speak to better correct your English and help to give you more confidence and experience. Listening is all important as well as speaking.
TEACHER'S EXPERIENCE
Each teacher has a minimum of a bachelor's degree or experience with a teaching certificate of TESOL, TEFL, CELTA or equivalent and has carefully been screened by our intake specialists and not just their credentials but their demeanor and attitude.
Private lessons require that the student (and teacher) both use a private room without background noise. However, the teacher will provide this requirement so concentration is much easier.
If you miss a class there is generally no approved way to make up the class. However, the decision is up to the teacher. |
